Propel Schools Opportunities is Hiring a Part-Time Administrative Assistant at Propel Montour Middle/High School Near Mc Kees Rocks, PA

Job Summary: 

The Administrative Assistant provides support to the school leadership team and the entire school community. This position works throughout the calendar year and during school hours. This position is flexible and will work up to 29 hours per week.

Key Job Elements:

  • Supports the school leadership team as well as the entire school community
  • Maintains accurate reporting, tracking, and filling of student records via our student information system, maintaining high levels of confidentiality
  • Greets, screens, tracks, and directs visitors to appropriate locations. Maintains visitor logs.
  • Provides excellent customer service to Propel families, scholars, staff and visitors via telephone, email and in person engagement.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, tracking, and filling of student records.
  • Generates and distributes communications from the school to scholar families.
  • Displays strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and prioritization of assignments
  • Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and messages. Responds to routine questions.
  • Orders office supplies building-wide, using purchasing software
  • Maintains office equipment.
  • Completes purchase orders
  • Performs routine clerical functions, such as copying, sorting, filing, and typing.
  • Creates and maintains various office files, logs, and scholar records.
  • Accept internal/external deliveries and mail daily, sorts and distributes all mail/packages
  • Maintains communication with various sending school district departments including bus garages, clerical staff and child accounting staff
  • Perform additional duties assigned as assigned/necessary 

Qualifications & Skills: 

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of administrative experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
  • Ability to use applicable Microsoft Suite and Google Suite products.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate clerical skills in a fast-paced, high energy environment.
  • A proven ability to build relationships and uphold a culture of dignity with a track record of trustworthiness in maintaining sensitive, confidential information.

Salary Range: $15.38/hr-$17.30/hr ($32,000-$36,000)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 75% of the time while working at the computer within the office.

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 

The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer.
