PMG Affordable is a subsidiary venture of Property Markets Group (PMG), the national investment, development, and asset management firm founded in 1991. PMG has an extensive portfolio of completed projects, and a multi-billion-dollar pipeline which totals approximately 8,500 market-rate and mixed-income residential units. PMG and its subsidiaries have over 100 employees based in Miami with regional / project offices in locations including Tampa and New York.

THE POSITION

As an Analyst, Associate, or Assistant Director you will be responsible for using analysis, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving to oversee (primarily tax credit) development projects and pursue new opportunities. This includes underwriting, deal structuring, closing, development coordination and monitoring, and assisting in the stabilization of projects. This position is for Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and underwriting of development opportunities utilizing Excel
• Develop and update complex financial models
• Prepare investment materials and communicate with investors, lenders, government agencies, and vendors
• Review third-party reports and other diligence materials
• Manage deal closing process, including preparation of closing statements and coordination among deal participants
• Provide financial analysis during the construction process including review of construction draw forms
• Assist in the preparation of tax credit and bond financing applications for LIHTC deals in coordination with local counsel and other internal teams
• Assist in the preparation of responses to Request for Proposals working in Powerpoint

Qualifications of Candidate

• 1-7 years of work experience in the multifamily sector with a focus on real estate finance, development, or underwriting, or affordable housing accounting / consulting. Affordable housing experience is a bonus
• Bachelor’s Degree - Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate or Urban Planning Concentration
• Proficiency in Excel
• Organizational skills and ability to advance multiple processes simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
• Strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
• Ability to take ownership and commitment to follow through
• Willingness to travel
