As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with a strong focus on email management to join our dynamic IT team and support our technology infrastructure.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Microsoft 365 Exchange Online services and all other M365 environments. This role will also help manage the corporate SQL environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and functionality of our email and SQL systems to meet the needs of Propio Language Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in email systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to system management and improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Exchange Online Administration: Manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange Online environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Email Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures to protect email data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including managing spam filters, encryption, and data loss prevention.
  • User Management: Handle email account creation, management, and troubleshooting within the M365 environment. Ensure proper licensing and access controls.
  • Technical Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for email-related issues, working closely with the IT support team to resolve technical problems efficiently.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor the health and performance of M365 services and SQL environments. Identify and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
  • Migration and Upgrades: Plan and execute migrations to Exchange Online from on-premises or other email systems. Manage email system upgrades and updates.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support and integrate M365 solutions with other enterprise systems and initiatives.
  • Project Management: Lead or participate in IT projects related to the deployment, upgrade, or enhancement of M365 services.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials for end-users and IT staff. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience administering Microsoft 365 Exchange Online.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Exchange Online management.
  • Experience with hybrid Exchange environments and migration to Office 365 is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or similar are highly desirable.
Additional Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online and email administration.
  • Strong understanding of email security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, DNS, and Active Directory integration with M365.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
