Prosoft is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Software Development Manager for our client based in Louisville, Kentucky.

Responsibilities:

• As a hands-on Development Manager for a team of 6-7 Software Engineers, your duties will be split between technical leadership/management (85%) and hands-on coding (15%).
• Plan, direct, and manage the work of technical teams and the development life cycle for projects and software products.
• Perform Technical Lead duties for the team, including resource and capacity planning, architecture and system design, driving improvements in software engineering practices, providing technical guidance, etc.
• Remove blockers and impediments to enable the team to successfully complete work.
• Facilitate estimates of project requests, define project scopes, and set delivery schedules and timelines to successfully deliver applications and solutions on time and on budget.
• Mentor developers and perform code reviews regularly.
• Provide coaching and support the career growth of developers through 1-on-1 meetings and performance reviews.
• Work with other Development Managers, Architects, Software Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to solve complex business problems.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years of hands-on Software Engineering experience, with 2 years of leadership experience working as a Development Manager, or similar role.
• Experience with various software architectures including but not limited to, service-oriented architecture, message-driven architecture, event-driven architecture, microservices, etc.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack web applications.
• Backend development experience with any combination of the following: C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Node.js, Nest.js || Web API, RESTful API, SOAP, GraphQL, Open API || SQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or similar
• Front-end development experience with any combination of the following: JavaScript / TypeScript || Angular, Vue.js, React.js, Next.js
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and technologies
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps
• Experience in an automated testing environment

Desired (not required) Qualifications:

• Experience with Python and familiarity with AI and Machine Learning toolkits
