Production Assistant

Responsibilities :

• Complete Finishing duties such as folding, inserting and cutting, etc.
• Packages mail pieces by traying, labeling, rubber banding and strapping & wrapping pallets for DAT Jobs.
• Insured driver for PV box truck and make deliveries to post office.
• Utilizes time management skills to understand which jobs are most urgent to complete and in which order.
• Meets scheduled deadlines for In Mail Dates.
• Keeps up with Mail equipment inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assists with Paper Inventory count at the end of each month.
• Move supplies from warehouse with forklift.
• Equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Keep the finishing equipment area clean and organized.
• Cut down all SAM samples for shipping.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications :

• Ability to work well with others to ensure work is complete by deadline
• Ability to run commercial finishing equipment
• Technically-minded
• Physical loading, unloading and / or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling, etc.

in a safe and efficient manner

• Clean driver’s license record required and ability to drive short dock-high box truck with air brakes on a local regular route
