Job Title: Manager, Business Relationship Management
Department: Operations
Reports To: Head of Relationship Management

Summary
This position will be responsible for helping create, develop, enhance and successfully maintain strategic distributor relationships in the bank/broker dealer channel for our annuity line of business. Based on distributor feedback and service recovery issues, this position will collaborate with Operations to recognize trends, resolve systemic issues, and drive procedure improvement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Acts as the primary point of escalation for operational issues raised to and from the Financial Institutions
Onboarding of new distribution and maintenance of ongoing activity
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective distribution partners.
Works closely with internal Sales, marketing, and operational partners on overall account management.
Effectively initiates and manages account relationships with strategic account partners and internal business team members.
Drives operational improvements in partnership with Operations leaders based on feedback from our distribution partners.
Responsible for timely and appropriate resolution of escalations from distribution partners.
Assists with developing BRM department procedures and guidelines.
Conducts periodic meetings with personnel at strategic distribution partners to foster relationships and uncover opportunities to develop operational efficiencies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client experiences and resolve any issues promptly.

Education and/or Experience and Skills
The position requires significant experience in working with annuity products and managing insurance distribution Relationships.
Experience with insurance administrative systems and with point-of-sale technologies such as iPipeline, AnnuityNet, and Firelight.
Experience in professional relationship management.
Demonstrates a high level of initiative and seeks and encourages others to implement new solutions to operational challenges.
Ability to assimilate data and create reports, presentations, and workflow diagrams, utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, Query, and other tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively interact/interface with external parties – agents, distributors, customers, and vendors.
Tactful and professional, with the ability to influence others.
Ability to influence strong critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively problem solve.
