Prosperix is Hiring an Information Technology Project Manager Near Portland, OR

IT Project Manager-II

Location: Portland, OR 97204 (Local Candidates only)

Duration: 06 months (Potential Extension)

Hybrid Work

Pay rate: $ 65.00/hr - $ 75.00/hr.

SUMMARY:

This role requires a blend of technical and managerial expertise, with a focus on leading teams and projects to align with business objectives, while also being adept at communication and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Product Development: Leading the digitization of utility line operations using cloud technologies like AWS and Snowflake.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Involves strategy planning, progress coordination, and risk mitigation, with regular updates and interactions with stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Tracking progress, planning with team members, setting up roadmaps and milestones, team norming, and budget planning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Leading major or multiple moderate projects related to business systems, process improvements, reorganizations, and strategy implementations.
  • Consulting with operations managers for strategic alignment and cost-effectiveness.
  • Developing project plans and ensuring compliance with project management standards.
  • Managing project budget, scope, quality, schedule, and risks.
  • Communicating project status to stakeholders and leading business process improvement activities.
  • Acting as a change agent for continuous improvement and maintaining project documentation.
  • Building key relationships and mentoring other project managers or leads.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification Requirements (Any Preferences): ​PMP and scrum master certifications– nice to have.
  • ​How many years of experience are you looking for?: 5-7 years experience​​
  • Utilities experience is a plus but not required.

Top 3 Must-Haves:

  1. Leadership in iterative product development.
  2. Management of multiple agile teams, including remote teams.
  3. Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Top 3 Nice-To-Haves:

  1. Risk and dependencies management.
  2. Budget management.
  3. Proficiency in project management tools like JIRA.
