Prosum is Hiring a HR Payroll Administrator Near Tustin, CA

6 Month Contract to Hire

$40-47/HR Conversion between $85-100K

Open to candidates with an Associates degree, especially if they have solid years of experience (7-10 in payroll, but I think we can get away with 5 years if the candidate is truly an expert in payroll and checks the other boxes). Really looking more for an HR Generalist with a heavy emphasis on payroll. Candidates should have experience with labor laws (State and Federal, benefits, employee engagement, etc) - great if they have experience with Paylocity but ok if not. Still need to be fluent in English & Spanish.

Need for candidates to be self-starters and not needing to to rely on their supervisors or managers to make decisions. Let's open search to include HR Managers or Supervisors - ideally candidates that come from a company size similar (200-300 employees), are able to run Payroll through it's entirety including audits and working with Accounting/Finance team if needed. Someone who comes from a company where they ran everything like a one-stop-shop HR department would be perfect!

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for Maintaining, and updating Employee HR records
  2. Manage Recruiting, Job postings, screening resumes and candidates for various positions.
  3. Maintain a good active relationship with our staffing agencies focused on hourly employees.
  4. Address Employee grievances, manage disciplinary actions, and the ability to address employee Behavioral issues.
  5. A good listener, and a problem solver
  6. Install an Employee Performance Review Process for Hourly and salaried employees.
  7. Work with Benefit providers and the ability to setup, manage and conduct open enrollment events is a must
  8. Address Employee Benefits updates based on Life Event Changes (Marriage, Divorce, Childe birth, etc)
  9. Past working history with Paylocity Time Tracking, Payroll, and Expense Management is a PLUS!!! and will move the candidate to the top of the list
  10. Pre-Payroll activities, including timesheet validation and verification, timesheet corrections. and approval
  11. Process Paylocity Payroll. Manage Post Payroll reporting and Payroll register review and validation.
  12. Provide Necessary Payroll/Expense Reports to Accounting
  13. Process/Review Employee Expense reports.
  14. Work with Accounting Department to validate Employer Tax obligation calculations on a quarterly basis.
  15. This is a 100% Onsite Employment opportunity at our Tustin Location. We also have Warehouses in Santa Ana, and Bloomingdale GA.

Qualification:

  1. Bachelor's Degree is preferred - Preference would be in closely related fields such as Accounting, Phycology, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior).
  2. 7-10 Years of Experience in smaller Organizations (Less than 200 employees) is preferred.
  3. Fluency in English and Spanish languages is a must!
  4. Ability to install Industry best practices into a practice that is not up to date.
  5. Experience and prior work history with Paylocity
  6. Expertise in Employee Performance review process is required.
  7. Familiarity with California and Federal Labor laws is required.
  8. Professional References and the ability to speak to these references will be required prior to a job offer.
