Job description:

• Pursues knowledge of internal and client standards and relevant engineering principles and practices.
• Pursues knowledge of typical design, standards and construction methods, materials and techniques used in the construction.
• Pursues knowledge of city, state, and federal laws, ordinances and regulations governing municipal engineering.
• Additional Technical Competency

Seeks to understands the basic pipeline design principles of 49 CFR 192 and 49 CFR 195, including:

How to establish the maximum allowable operating pressure,

Development of hydrostatic test pressure,

Pipeline material requirements (e.g., pipe wall thickness and pipe grade, etc.), etc. Qualification

Bachelor of Science (or higher degree) in engineering or related field,

Engineer-in-Training (EIT),

2 to 4 years of engineering experience

Coordinates with project managers and senior project engineers to obtain engineering tasks.

Is working toward the development of, SME competency in at least one engineering specialty (e.g., structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, SWPPP, pipe stress analysis and dynamic hydraulic modeling, electrical engineering, process engineering, construction engineering, surveying, etc.).
