Sr. Data Product Manager

The Sr. Data Product Manager partners with the Analytics team and business stakeholders to convert enterprise needs into technical data, reporting, and analytics requirements. This role collaborates with technology teams to develop internal-facing data products and capabilities, from basic reporting to complex data science models.

<>Key Responsibilities:

• Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and technical requirements for data and analytics capabilities, processes, and tools to support prioritized use cases across the enterprise.
• Roadmap Management: Develop and maintain the roadmap for a key pillar of the CDO Organization s data strategy, prioritizing activities based on business impact and user needs.
• User-Centric Development: Understand internal data consumers needs and experiences, identify product gaps, and generate ideas to improve user experience and adoption.
• Technical Requirements: Specify requirements for data processing and storage to support various analytics use cases, including reporting, data science exploration, model development, and data quality monitoring.
• Success Metrics: Establish and track success metrics to enhance business outcomes, ensuring data and insights are accessible and valuable to internal consumers.
• Advocacy and Adoption: Act as a product evangelist to build awareness, understanding, and adoption of data products and capabilities.
• Risk Management and Governance: Ensure robust data governance, risk management, and security controls to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

<>Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in STEM or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 9 years in product management, data management, or consulting with a proven performance record.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with data teams (engineers, scientists, developers, analysts), business stakeholders, and end-users.
• Skills:
  • Strong business intuition and technical ability to design and explain complex product and data strategies.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, experience with Scrum teams, and familiarity with tools like Jira.
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL.
  • Proficiency in product analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Mixpanel).

<>Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Master s degree in STEM or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Deep understanding of foundational data and analytics concepts.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a product lifecycle, including launching new products.
  • Knowledge of data management requirements in regulated industries.
  • Experience with large datasets and cloud migration efforts.
  • Hands-on experience with Python or R.
  • Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Business Objects, Salesforce, Google Analytics, SQL Server, Hive, Spark, and data architecture tools such as HDFS, Aerospike, ElasticSearch, Kafka.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of best practices and unique data and analytics requirements across various functional areas (e.g., Product, Marketing, Data Science, Finance, Operations).

<>Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment: Normal office environment with primarily sedentary work requiring extensive computer use.
• Physical Activity: Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. Requires visual acuity and dexterity for document and office equipment manipulation. Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
