Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Rep (BDR) - who combines strong sales abilities and exceptional customer support and communications skills. This role demands a positive and empathetic approach towards customers outreach and a working knowledge of CRM, databases, internet searches and spreadsheets are advantageous.

You will be responsible for engaging with prospects to facilitate sales growth in multiple industries.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Most of your time will be spent digging for pain points with prospective buyers through LinkedIn, email and phone calls.
  • Effectively manage a pipeline of outbound Leads so that you can consistently drive meetings for the Sales team.
  • Become an expert in finding pains of the prospect and setting up meetings to highlight how Protected Harbor can alleviate.
  • Proactively report on learnings and valuable feedback to the sales and marketing teams so that we can improve the processes and prioritize the right approaches to lead generation.
  • Gain a deep knowledge and belief in our team and our service.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying product/service features, benefits, and value propositions to potential customers.
  • Sales Experience: Prior experience in sales, particularly in the IT industry, is valuable. Experience working for an MSP is advantageous.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset is essential for understanding customer requirements, building relationships, and providing solutions that meet their needs.
  • Highly Empathetic: Highly empathic people (HEPs) have an insatiable curiosity about strangers and a keen ability to realize someone perception.
  • Resilience and Persistence: Sales can be challenging, so resilience and persistence are important qualities for overcoming rejection, staying motivated, and consistently pursuing sales targets.
  • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with sales software, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools, and other technology platforms can enhance productivity and streamline sales processes.
  • Ethical Conduct: Integrity and ethical conduct are fundamental for building trust with customers and maintaining the reputation of the company.
  • Team Player: Collaboration with colleagues in marketing, customer service, and other departments is often necessary, so being a team player is important.
  • Goal-Oriented: BDR’s should be driven by goals and targets, with a focus on achieving or exceeding quotas.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify customer challenges and offer creative solutions demonstrates value and builds trust with prospects.
  • Self-Motivation: A high level of self-motivation and initiative is necessary for consistently prospecting, following up with leads, and closing deals.
