Job Overview
The individual will work cross-functionally to ensure our buildings, equipment, and grounds are functional, clean, and safe. The facilities and safety manager oversees all aspects of building and equipment functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of our Gunnison, Utah facilities with crossover to our other US facilities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installment work
• Oversee preventative maintenance program, record keeping, and reporting
• Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures (internal, OSHA, etc.)
• Maintain day to day operations of facilities such as completing maintenance orders
• Run routine maintenance and safety inspections
• Communicate and correspond with external contractors and vendors
• Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments
• Monitor interior and exterior areas of building for cleanliness and general conservation
• Snow and ice removal and prevention
• Write and revise safety policies and procedures
• Document accidents and investigate and prevent recurrence
• Eliminate workplace hazards
• Conduct safety training on policies, regulations, and procedures and maintain compliance records
• Manage forklift and manlift training and compliance program
• Support other Proteor manufacturing sites and activities including up to 5% travel
• Other duties as assigned
