Position Title Emergency Medical Technician Overview
Under the direction and supervision of the Associate Vice President/Chief of Public Safety or his designee provide emergency medical care to ensure professional medical coverage of students, during hours when the Student Health Center is closed, as well as provide coverage for faculty/staff and visitors of Providence College.
Essential Duties:
1. Provide emergency care to the student population on campus to include triage, treatment and stabilization of patients according to RIDPH protocols and Providence College EMS Policies and Procedures.
2. Complete all documentation as appropriate to all emergency calls. Report any and all incidents, problems and unusual circumstances to the Senior EMT and the Office of Safety and Security on-duty Supervisor when indicated
Marginal Duties:
1. Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience Required
•Rhode Island EMT A license
•Valid CPR certificate
•Two to three years pre-hospital care required
•High school graduate or equivalent
