Providence Health & Services is Hiring a Patient Care Technician - Med Surg ICU Near Lubbock, TX

Job Description
The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Patient Care Technician Course (Require certificate of completion from school.) And
  • Coursework/Training: Phlebotomist: Successful completion of a Covenant approved Phlebotomy training course including a minimum of 20 patient sticks observed by Covenant Phlebotomist or Licensed Nurses (trained in Phlebotomy) Or
  • Coursework/Training: Monitor Technician: Successful completion of a comprehensive cardiac dysrhythmias course or monitor technician course. Proficient in cardiac dysrhythmia detection.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Certified Patient Care Technician from approved National Certification Agency such as National Healthcareer Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of PCT experience.
  • 6 months Phlebotomy experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
