Providence is calling a Student Intern, Helpdesk Support who will:

• Work as a member of the Enterprise IT team
• Offer tier 1 IT support to end users via phone, email, helpdesk ticketing, and messaging
• Facilitate the transfer of escalated (tier 2) IT support requests to the appropriate team(s)
• Configure, package and ship IT equipment to new employees
• Facilitate and manage IT equipment returns
• Assists with and actively participates in departmental projects and initiatives

Please note the following important details regarding this role:

• Providence welcomes 100% remote work for residents who reside within a one (1) hour commute of our office location listed below:
• Oregon: Salem
• This is a temporary, non-benefitted position
• This role is intended to be a summer position for a current college student or high school student that is college bound
• The successful applicant for this position will be employed for a duration of time during the Summer of 2024
• The program will last approximately one year and is anticipated to end around 8/30/2025, however, this may change based upon an actual start date for the role and department needs
• This position will require for you to come into the office as defined by management and departmental needs

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Coursework/Training: Acceptance to or current enrollment in a minimum 2-year degree program
• Coursework/Training: Pursuing a technology related degree or equivalent
• No actual work experience in an IS environment is required
