Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative helps to increase company growth and sales by conducting market research, developing and executing business strategies, building client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. This team member is a brand and culture champion who represents the company and the escrow team, while building a network of potential and existing clients to grow business in the market. The Representative must be able to establish and meet production goals within a reasonable amount of time and lead others in exemplifying Providence core values to all team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Become acquainted with the company’s vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
Conduct market research and identify potential clients and business opportunities.
Cultivate strong relationships with new clients while maintaining existing client relationships.
Maintain client information in the CRM database, along with personal tasks, efforts or events done to cultivate relationships.
Work closely with escrow and sales teams to implement growth strategies.
Develop and implement sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analyze sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents.
Become a valuable and helpful resource in all interactions with clients and create a friendly, professional reputation within the industry.
Maintain a well-known presence within the market area by attending client and trade association events, hosting Providence Title events, actively promoting the company through social media channels, and participating in other networking activities as appropriate.
Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
Learn and demonstrate technology tools, platforms, and industry services to offer value and solutions to clients.
Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader.
Always adhere to company policies and guidelines.
1-2 years of relevant experience in business development or related field.
A bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or related field is preferred.
Solid understanding of insurance and real property concepts, as well as general knowledge of State Board of Insurance regulations is helpful.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to acquire new clients.
Undertake new challenges and tasks with enthusiasm.
Ability to adapt to new, evolving, or changing requirements.
Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external customers or clients.
Maintain a tidy appearance and professional demeanor when representing Providence Title.
Ability to comprehend and apply information from written material to work situations.
