Providence is Hiring an Emergency Technician *Full-time, Day Shift Near Portland, OR

Description

ED Tech at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents multiple openings (Full-time, Day Schedule.

Paid Time Off – Benefit eligible caregivers receive up to 25 days per year

Retirement - The Providence retirement program consists of employer match and discretionary contributions that work together with your pre-tax (and/or Roth aftertax) contributions to help you save for retirement.

Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year.

Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications:

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually upon hire.

  • 1 year relevant experience:

  • Patient care or clinical experience preferred.

  • Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate upon hire.
