Description

The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent education/experience.
  • National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology within 1 year of hire.
  • 1 year in Healthcare Experience
  • 1 year in Epidemiology Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent education/experience.
  • 4 years in Healthcare Experience
  • 2 years in Epidemiology Experience
