Job Details
DescriptionThe CRE Loan Processor is Responsible for processing all assigned major loans in a timely manner, ensuring that all necessary documentation and verifications are carefully reviewed.
We have a current opening for a CRE Loan Processor at our Corporate Offices In Riverside, CA . This is a Non-Exempt/Full-Time position,.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
  • Will maintain working proficiency in all aspects of loan processing procedures (i.e., sales, and refinance transactions), in order to meet the standards required for the processing of major loans through Provident Bank.
  • Works with underwriters to complete processing "Status Report" each Friday (for loan representative, officers and department managers).
  • Will input all pertinent information into computerized processing system, including but not limited to escrow/title information, tracking, and loan status.
  • Reviews for accuracy and completeness all incoming mail and evaluate its impact on the loan file. All mail is to be filed as it comes in.
  • Will ensure the following actions are taken according to established guidelines:
  • Perform initial loan setup to include, but not limited to: check deposit and run credit.
  • Create needs list.
  • Open, review, and follow up on the status of escrow instructions.
  • Preliminary title report, copies of documents and plotted easements.
  • Order appraisals.
  • Review the signed loan application and order RMCR.
  • Obtain all verifications (employment mortgage/rental, deposit, etc.).
  • Carefully review tax returns, profit and loss statements, credit statements, and any statements regarding divorce.
  • Determine source of funds and disposal of any owned property.
  • Review all construction documentation (i.e., cost breakdown, building contract, and plans); send voucher package to loan service on construction loans.
  • Provide Provident inspector with cost breakdown and plans for review.
  • Review the insurance requirements for the property (i.e., fire and flood, business income, liability, etc.).
  • Confirm recording and submit commission authorization to underwriter.
  • Input all loan data into the systems.
  • Perform all funding, booking, and closing responsibilities for commercial and construction loans.
  • All loan files will have conversation logs and processor will make notations on conversation log as to the substance of all relevant activities and conversations relating to the file.
  • Will be responsible for contact with customers, brokers, agents, title companies, credit bureaus and escrow companies to facilitate handling of loans and completion of necessary documentation; will file in proper stacking order for submission to underwriting.
  • Assists in the training of the newly-assigned loan processing personnel, and perform other processing cross-training as may be needed, to ensure branch office has proper support for handling of loan applications.
  • Responsible for the confidentiality of financial data and personnel records.
  • Responsible for maintaining high level of job performance to meet and/or exceed the standard for this position in order to ensure achievement of the Department's goals.

Required Education And/or Experience
  • Completion of courses in Real Estate Finance, Principles, and Appraisal required.
  • Minimum two years of loan processing.
Skills Required
  • Complete knowledge of bank and regulatory lending policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of the following equipment: telephone, fax, copy machine, etc.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels within the organization, as well as with outside contacts. Bilingual ability is helpful.
  • Must have good aptitude for numbers and detail.
  • Keyboarding and computer skills are necessary, as well as strong organizational skills.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Outlook.
