Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead the Platform Engineering team, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with company goals. Champion the ProviderTrust values of Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Platform Development: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the core platform infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of scalability, security, and performance.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Development, Operations, and Security, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of platform services.
  • Innovation: Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the platform engineering domain, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure ProviderTrust remains at the forefront of healthcare compliance technology.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement best practices for infrastructure management, automation, monitoring, and incident response to ensure a reliable and resilient platform.
  • Budget Management: Manage the platform engineering budget, making strategic decisions on resource allocation to maximize ROI and reduce costs associated with infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on platform initiatives, progress, and performance metrics.

Skillset and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, cloud-based (AWS) infrastructure and services, including building Infrastructure-as-code.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive complex projects to completion.
