Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the operations of our properties. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of property leasing, maintenance, and customer relationships. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Duties:
- Conduct property tours and show available units to prospective tenants
- Screen and process rental applications, including background checks and credit evaluations
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collect rent payments and handle delinquencies in a timely manner
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling contractors and ensuring work is completed to high standards
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of all property-related activities, including lease agreements, maintenance requests, and financial transactions
- Market available units through various channels to attract potential tenants
- Utilize effective sales techniques to upsell additional services or amenities to tenants
- Negotiate lease renewals and rental rate increases
Experience:
- Previous experience in property management or related field is required
- Strong knowledge of property leasing procedures, including Section 8 housing regulations
- Familiarity with property maintenance practices and ability to coordinate repairs
- Excellent customer relationship management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Proficient in data entry and administrative tasks related to property management
- Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and vendor contracts
