PRS is Hiring a Data Center Engineer Near Georgetown, TX

We are currently looking for a Chief Engineer to lead a team of critical environmental engineers in Georgetown, TX

You will :

  • Lead and develop a team of Critical Environment engineers onsite, ensuring the provision of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Repair Services within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Assist the Data Center Manager in supporting Data Center operations.
  • Provide on-site support for the provision and maintenance of Critical Environment services.
  • Manage unforeseen circumstances and provide relevant feedback to Client management when necessary.
  • Mentor and motivate the Critical Environment team, offering regular feedback to drive continual improvement and identifying training needs.
  • Oversee Configuration Management (CM), Preventative Maintenance (PM), and Repairs within SLA timeframes, escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensure timely completion of facility infrastructure and Information Technology equipment installations, relocations, and decommissioning requests, meeting internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
  • Conduct daily routine checks and cleanup of data halls, recording findings.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for mechanical and electrical systems, including chillers, CRAC, CRAH, UPS, PDU, STS, etc.
  • Ensure all deployments adhere to internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
  • Maintain updated records and documentation for all changes and processes.
  • Prepare and utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments for tasks, ensuring safe working practices.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, including recruitment, performance appraisal, and coaching, to foster competency development and uphold company values.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
  • Experience in leading and motivating a Critical Environment Team.
  • Accredited training in DC Facilities Infrastructure and Building Management System (BMS) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Facility or DC equipment and components.
  • Understanding of Data Center environments and relevant working restrictions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service.
  • Advanced financial knowledge and ability to conduct financial analysis.
  • Advanced reasoning ability, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
