Your Team As a Vice President, Chief Product Owner – Enterprise Data Engineering you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to build, deliver, and continuously improve Prudential’s data engineering capability. You will be a thought leader, working to define the strategy and roadmap for Prudential’s data and modeling ecosystem. This will require close collaboration with business functions, infrastructure (CTO) and technology teams (CIO), and architecture. We’re looking for an inspirational technical leader to solve sophisticated business problems, enable the scale and rapid deployment of AI solutions, and ultimately delight our customers! As a technical expert in public cloud deployments of data solutions, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and team building skills. Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day Define the vision, success criteria, and high-level roadmap for the products in your portfolio. Partner with Prudential’s architecture team to implement and refine reference architecture and solution architecture patterns for the products in your portfolio. Lead the data engineering team to deliver the products in your portfolio, working in close connection with stakeholders and partners in CIO and CTO functions. Establish and lead the development of an enterprise-wide framework for data engineering practices. Creates and oversee the implementation of guidelines, best practices, and standards for data engineering projects. Provide leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. Work with global data and AI teams and be a leader in modernization programs. Nurture and help define a culture of inclusion, intense curiosity, teamwork, and continuous learning. Understand industry trends and innovation potential to anticipate customer needs or business opportunities. Communicate clearly and frequently with stakeholder groups. As a member of the Chief Data Office Senior Leadership Team, contribute meaningfully to Prudential’s data and AI capability, globally. The Skills & Expertise You Bring Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering, equivalent experience in related fields, or equivalent military experience. Progressive experience in leading solution architecture, software development, and data engineering teams to deliver global scale Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization. Ability to drive global scale of CI/CD and DevOps tools and techniques, API and microservice-based architecture patterns. Demonstrated experience building and developing high performing technology product teams. Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Excellent verbal and written communications skills, experience working in multilingual environments preferred. Belief in a non-hierarchal structure of collaboration, transparency and trust. Expert knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business. Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
