Job Classification: Project Mgmt, Transformation & Strategy - Project Mgmt, Transformation & Strategy VP, Head of Corporate Strategy (Domestic) As a senior leader within the Corporate Strategy team, the individual in this role will lead a generalist, go-anywhere team responsible for partnering directly with the CEOs and business presidents within the US Businesses to drive growth and value in core, adjacent and new markets as well as support enterprise priorities. This can include strategy, due diligence, post- merger integration, growth, and resource allocation. Leveraging their external profile and network, the individual in this role will be encouraged to bring new ideas, make connections, and create relevance with our partners. This leader will be expected to invest in the development of strategy skills for individuals within their own team as well individuals more broadly across the enterprise. The individual in this role will report directly to Prudential’s Chief Strategy Officer and will partner closely with Business Leaders within the US Businesses and Technology on specific efforts. Key Responsibilities Include: Partner with leaders within Prudential’s US Businesses to support opportunities, close gaps and realize mutual beneficial opportunities. Build a project-based strategic capability to identify and analyze strategic opportunities Develop, in partnership with business unit strategists, a common language and methodology to maximize outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues in Global Technology to develop technology driven opportunities (e.g. ecosystems, IP monetization) Build collaborative and trusted relationships across Prudential’s strategy, business development, and finance teams to ensure Prudential realizes its full potential by helping enable business outcomes. Build an external profile and network with leaders at other institutions Act as an internal and external partner advisor who creates relevance with our partners, anticipates needs and opportunities, makes connections, solves problems and finds creative ways to connect the dots for the business. Prepare, understand, synthesize and actively communicate partner and sector information for the enterprise identifying business insights into actionable strategies for our most valued strategic partners. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred Minimum of 15 years in strategy consulting, internal consulting, corporate development, Finance P&A or related areas Ability to develop the most senior professional relationships influence c-suite executives, forming and cultivating positive relationships inside Prudential and with our partners Success developing talent, building teams and bringing people together to enable business outcomes High emotional intelligence and strong relationship building skills High learning agility to have or build the knowledge of the financial services businesses Prudential operates in Diverse experience and skills to understand the various sectors of our partners markets and businesses Proven leadership ability to focused on internal and external relationships, co-create and define mutually beneficial outcomes.
