Your Team: As the Vice President (VP), Product Owner of the Global Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) program at Prudential Financial, you will be entrusted with the critical task of leading the development and implementation of AI policies and practices across the organization. This role will require you to pioneer a strategic vision for AI, with a primary focus on responsible and ethical application of the technology across all facets of our business operations. In this global role, you will be the lynchpin in fostering collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders across different countries. This will involve creating a shared understanding of how AI can be used responsibly and ethically to drive growth and innovation, while still adhering to local and international laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that Prudential Financial meets the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and compliance in its AI initiatives, regardless of where in the world these initiatives are being implemented. The collaboration between your team and our US and International partners will be of utmost importance. Together, you will work towards creating a unified approach to AI that reflects Prudential Financial's commitment to ethical and responsible technology use. This collaborative effort will not only ensure consistency in our AI initiatives across different regions, but also enable us to leverage shared insights and best practices, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of our AI strategy on a global scale. In essence, as the VP of the Global Responsible AI program at Prudential Financial, your role will be pivotal in driving international collaboration and strategic alignment across our organization, in order to ensure that our use of AI is not only innovative and efficient but also ethical, responsible, and compliant with the highest global standards. Key responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive, company-wide strategy for the responsible use of AI and machine learning technologies. Establish and oversee a robust governance structure to ensure the ethical use of AI, in compliance with Prudential Financials' internal policies and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements Operationalize governance frameworks and best practices for AI use at Prudential, implementing the key oversight controls as appropriate for Responsible Ai use globally Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, and IT teams to develop AI systems that are transparent, explainable, and secure, while aligning with our ethical standards Lead the education and training of staff on the responsible use of AI, fostering an organizational culture of accountability Engage with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for the ethical use of AI technologies and represent Prudential Financials at industry forums and thought leadership events Stay updated with global trends in AI and machine learning and identify opportunities for their responsible use within our organization Regularly review and report on the progress and performance of the responsible AI strategy to senior management Provide expert advice to senior management on the potential benefits, risks, and ethical considerations associated with various AI technologies, supporting informed decision-making Drive innovation and thought leadership in the area of Responsible AI, focusing on fields like fairness, transparency, interpretability, privacy, security, and societal implications. Engage with senior leaders across the company, including business, legal, policy, communications, and technology, to drive a shared vision and adoption of Responsible AI practices. Represent the company externally on matters related to Responsible AI, including at industry forums, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholder meetings. Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $224,500.00 to $303,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
