About Us

We are on a mission to reduce loneliness and isolation in adults aged 55 . Loneliness is the most significant health crisis of our time - more impactful to health than heart disease, obesity or smoking. And loneliness is particularly acute with older adults. We have seen the impact to quality of life and health outcomes first hand and are on a mission to drive social connection and reduce loneliness. But where do you start and how do you help solve loneliness? Easy. By meaningfully connecting people with other people. We are building a platform powered by LLMs that connects older adults over small facilitated group events and shared lived experiences. Our technology opens new pathways of connections via a mix of virtual and in-person experiences that measurably reduces loneliness and social isolation while improving health outcomes and quality of life for millions of older adults. Our work is grounded in my graduate coursework at Stanford and is backed by world-class advisors and investors. All of us have a singular focus to harness the incredible power of AI to drive more meaningful human to human connections. We are already live with early customers, have evidence to show the impact we can drive to quality of life and are now scaling the product and technology as we build a mission driven team.

About the Role

You will lead the engineering team. That team starts with you and as we scale you will build a larger and larger team. You will join as a co-founder of a business that already has early customers, demoable proof of concept and investment from a top tier fund. You and I will work closely together as we move from proof of concept to scalable technology platform. We will move fast in developing an innovative platform, and our customers will be our guide. This is a role where you will wear many hats - product and engineering leader, collaborator on strategy, customer advocate, part time marketer and fundraiser. You will be both a hands on builder as well as a manager. You’ll see the early messy stages of getting from first customers to building a high scale business that will positively affect the lives of millions of people. You will build a legacy in the work we do together.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 7-10 years of experience in software engineering, with 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience building products leveraging the latest generative AI stacks
• Experience building and scaling large-scale software systems from zero to one
• Strong technical skills in web development, database design, and software architecture
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products
• Deep focus on working backwards from customers in developing new products
• Experience working cross functionally with design, product and marketing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for improving the lives of older adults and their families through innovative technology solutions
