Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates of the principles of the sales process in a health care environment.
- Ability to manage assigned territory, conduct sales calls and presentations, and generate referrals by building long term business relationships and contacts.
- Ability to develop clinical knowledge base to support sales activities.
- Ability to identify and develop new referral sources.
- Develops, implements and evaluates quarterly and annual territory plans, strategies and actions to achieve negotiated goals.
- Build relationships with the Health Care Center staff teams to ensure the establishment of effective communication with referral sources and the staff teams.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
- Analyze territory, establish sales goals, and write sales plan.
- Identify territory assumptions which may influence the achievement of sales goals.
- Identifies key referring physicians and personnel in hospitals, nursing homes, managed care operations and the community.
- Identifies and maintains existing relationships with competitive Health Care organizations, hospitals, nursing homes and physicians.
- Determines vulnerabilities of competitive relationships and set targets.
- Collaborates with facility Administrator & team in plan development and implementation; provides written plan of action.
- Develops specialty markets and plans of action.
- Monitor, evaluate and adjust the plan as needed. Evaluates performance against the plan.
- Completes and submits activity reports as requested by Administrator or Supervisor.
- Develops plan for accounts management with input from teams.
- Establishes objectives for each call and evaluates results.
- Implements strategies and actions which include effective sales calls, presentations, and use of collateral materials.
- Supports, assists and participates in promotional activities.
- Completes call reports.
- Documents and reports complaints and service related issues; resolves as appropriate.
