Job PurposeTo provide for safe, comfortable and timely transportation of residents to and from the facility
Essential FunctionsProvidetransportationofpassengers,suppliesandequipmentasrequested by theDirectorof Nursing and HealthServicesUnitorappropriatedesignatedauthority;
  • Safe and timelyportal-to-portaltransportationofresidentsonbothascheduledandasneeded basis.
  • Responsibleforpick u p anddeliveryofsupplies,equipment andmaterialasrequired.
  • Assuresthatvehicleis fully fueledandready to drive;reportsmechanicalproblems to appropriate source forrepairs.
  • Maintainsrequiredtransportationlogs,recordsandreports.
  • ObservesresidentsforanychangeinconditionandreportssametoUnitManager.
  • Ability to observeresidents'conditionsandrespondandcommunicatewithresidentsandstaff:
  • Abilitytodealeffectivelyandappropriately with residentsandpublic.
  • Perform other related assignments asrelated.
  • Ensure resident's rights are followed by all volunteers.
  • Performs other related assignments as required.
Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
