Basic Function: Accountable to the Quality Manager, this position is responsible to oversee / complete the lab required testing of Compounds, Wires and Cables, maintain the Calibration of testing equipment’s. Compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain Quality of Products. Help Quality Engineers and Manager implement and maintain the Quality Management System in support of the ISO programs.
Principle Functional ResponsibilitiesConfers with Engineering to interpret Engineering and Industry Specifications to ensure Products get tested accordingly. Assist with Compliant analysis and corrective actions. Support Continuous Improvement projects and 6S events. Support Layered Process Audits Interact with External Customers, Inspectors and Auditors as needed. Assist in updating Claim Sheets and Dashboards. Train associates how to use inspection equipment, enter data and perform required testing. Investigate, evaluate, and report returned product from customers. Lead / coordinate corrective actions. Interact with customer visits (offsite or onsite) as needed. Interact with suppliers as needed for audits, certifications and purchased material concerns. Interact with Regulatory Agencies (UL, CSA, Etc.) as needed. Perform related duties as directed by Quality Manager.
Key RequirementsExperience with Wire and Cable testing, Electrical and Mechanical testing. Ability to work as an individual or as a team. Capable of multi-tasking. Solid computer skills. Sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good judgment. Must be able to communicate effectively both oral and written with other associates, technicians, engineers, and customers. Must have good attention to details. Must be able to drive projects. High energy; demonstrates urgency and fast pace.
Desired Background

• Min of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs
• Some Quality systems auditing
• Proven ability to work in a team setting and a strong floor presence
• Experience with wire and cable is a plus.

EducationAS degree minimum, BS degree is preferred.
