We would like to add a motivated Inventory Control Specialist with a diverse and solid background to our on-site team in Hampton, Virginia.
Job DescriptionWe are adding an individual with great customer service focus, interpersonal relationship skills, and a high degree of integrity to work on our team as an Inventory Control Specialist. Our successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all purchased products and materials meet our specifications, will control the flow of supplies and equipment, track and analyze inventory, and develop protocols for loss mitigation. As typical at startups, this position will span several roles including receiving, supply, inventory control and more. It is a fantastic opportunity to directly impact our success and help transition Psionic through its next stage of growth.
Education & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Significant hands-on experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • An ability to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience with full life cycle development of inventory
  • Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; and good time management, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
  • Strong working knowledge with internet, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Major Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis of inventory throughout the production life cycle
  • Perform periodic physical inventory, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
  • Ensure the accurate and secure documentation of materials and equipment.
  • Analyze, investigate, and correct inventory discrepancies.
  • Receive requisitions and check each item for quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements.
  • Serve as liaison to vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepare reports of results and conclusions for management
