About The Role

The Hospital Credentialing Manager is responsible for overseeing the credentialing process for all healthcare providers within the hospitals. This role ensures that all providers meet the necessary qualifications, certifications, and standards required for their positions. The Credentialing Manager works closely with medical staff, administration, and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and support quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate the credentialing process for Clinicians that are joining PsychPlus
  • Maintain credentialing databases and files with up-to-date information on each provider.
  • Ensure timely and accurate collection, verification, and evaluation of all necessary documentation.
  • Develop and implement process improvement to gain efficiencies
  • Communicate credentialing statuses and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with NCQA standards and guidelines
  • Maintenance of CAQH Proview
  • Assist with Credentialing Meeting preparation and post meeting functions
  • Monitor all Clinician expirables to include: licenses, board certifications, professional liability insurance, hospital privileges, and payer revalidations
  • Oversee hospital credentialing process and monitor individual/department productivity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credentialing within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with hospital credentialing, Behavioral Health specialties is strongly preferred.
  • Highly resourceful self-learner, with the ability to operate effectively independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask, high attention to detail, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to consistently meet performance standards of production, accuracy, completeness and quality
  • Ability to learn quickly

Additional Information

The expected base pay for this role will be between $60,000 and $90,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.
