A Post-tension design firm providing commercial and residential structural (Specialty) engineering, shop drawings, construction materials, concrete restoration and other related services is currently searching for an Equipment Service Manager / Supervisor to work out of our Miami location in the management and coordination of active/ongoing project equipment and service.

We are looking for a conscientious and detail oriented individual with a strong focus in hydraulic equipment repair and customer service, to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to multi-task, have good leadership, communication and problem solving skills.

As Mechanical/Hydraulic Equipment Supervisor your main responsibilities will include:

• Communicate with Peers and Customers in performing mechanical/hydraulic tasks; assist in identifying solutions and resolving issues when required.
• Oversee operations in an equipment service unit to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Oversee the inspection of jobsite equipment to identify faulty components and facilitate process for repairs
• Supervise the activities of equipment service technicians to ensure efficient job performance and timely repairs
• Conduct price negotiations with clients to reach a favorable bargain for both management and client
• Oversee the training of an effective equipment service team
• Maintain accurate record of all accounts and relevant financial information
• Monitor inventory to regulate and ensure availability of required parts
• Ensure equipment service staff comply with environmental laws and regulations
• Oversee the procurement of replacement parts, jobsite equipment and various other items required in service department
• Evaluate the performance of equipment service staff in order to acknowledge efficient employees and guide underperforming ones
• Listen to client complaints and assist in addressing their issues and resolving challenges
• Oversee the disposal of wastes such as used oil and ensure adherence to health and safety laws
• Assign and schedule work duties to equipment service staff according to their skills
• Follow up customers to obtain feedback and ensure they are satisfied with received service
• Attend workshops and study relevant publications to stay up-to-date with developments in the industry.
• Ensure all equipment repairs and refurbishments are carried out safely and the standards set by the company
• Assist with check list preparation of corrective maintenance and repair activities and review of inspections findings for corrective action and execution of scheduled preventive maintenance (task plans, task lists and work instructions).
• Arrange the allocation/assignment of work for the Mechanical/Hydraulic technicians in the department, ensuring all jobs are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain calibration, traceable to the relevant standard, allowing calibration of all relevant test equipment to required standards of accuracy.
• Inventory and traceability reporting of all leased equipment.
• Provide technical advice and services to operational users of equipment when required.
• Provide all relevant administration for equipment department.
• Offer solutions, set targets and satisfying client requirements.
• Other duties as assigned to meet company objectives.

Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

• Good general education
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, equipment service management, or in a related discipline.
• hydraulic level 1 certification or Hydraulic level 2 certification prefereed
• effectively interact with clients and project managers to identify their requirements and facilitate processes to meet customers’ needs
• able to coordinate and direct the activities of an auto repairs unit to ensure efficient work operations.

• Experience in the maintenance field of Mechanical Hydraulics and Customer Service
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and actively communicate with others in the company.
• Experience in post-tension concrete industry and trouble-shooting a major plus
• PC proficient and competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel, access and outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.
• Desire to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment.
• Proactive can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a plus.
