FOIA Reviewer/PA

Position Summary: 

Conduct a line-by-line review of documents identified by the Government as potentially responsive to cases processed by the Government to include research using classification guides. Conduct a line-by-line review of documents identified by the Government as responsive to cases for segregated release. 

Essential Duties: 

• Write formal responses to FOIA and PA requests for Government review and approval.
• Perform Government processing system database searches for responsive documents to FOIA and PA requests. 
• Create tasking memos to Government organizations for FOIA and PA.
• Track outstanding actions and send reminders as necessary to client organizations.
• Enter metadata into the government processing system to facilitate the recall of the documents in support of future research
• Ensure during the record review process that any equities falling under purview of external organizations be marked for referral or consultation
• Apply redactions, select appropriate redaction/exemption codes, apply release stamps to documents and cases
• Prepare correspondence to requestors or other agencies, creating a memorandum for the record for each case to document administrative actions taken in the case; this record also will include eth rationale for decisions to release Government information from documents
• Export records form the Government processing system to provide to internal client stakeholders. 

Requirements:

• An active/current TS/SCI Lifestyle, CI, or FS Polygraph 

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Basic computer literacy
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications
• Ability to communicate effectively
• 0-2 years performing the duties of the position: Level A
• 2-4 years performing the duties of the position: Level B 
• 4 years preforming the duties of the position: Level C
