PTS Advance is Hiring an Assistant Superintendent Near Queens, NY

Position Overview

  • Quality Accountability: Ensure the quality of every activity, possessing comprehensive knowledge of all construction aspects related to Civil, Architectural, Structural/Welding, Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, and Controls disciplines.
  • Documentation Management: Oversee all QA/QC documents for the project, including Certificates of Conformance/Compliance, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, site instructions/observations, and Material Test Reports (MTR) for delivered permanent materials, as well as any other critical QA/QC documentation required by the project.
  • Standards and Procedures: Establish relevant standards and procedures for inspections and tests, and develop new procedures as needed. Manage all testing processes according to industry best practices.
  • Material Quality Review: Ensure all materials meet project specifications and quality standards. Work closely with the Project Management team on material procurement.
  • Testing and Inspection Implementation: Supervise the execution of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
  • Compliance and Collaboration: Help employees understand and comply with all quality standards, manuals, and procedures. Work with contractors and suppliers to maintain system quality.
  • Material Monitoring and Preservation: Monitor and audit the storage and preservation of project materials onsite. Collaborate with the material coordinator on preventive maintenance and create a PM schedule.
  • Process Analysis: Maintain an efficient system for recording all project activities and analyze processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements.
  • Work Surveillance: Oversee all work methods, maintain knowledge of quality assurance standards, monitor the continuous application of quality assurance processes, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Installation Work Packages: Assist in developing Installation Work packages, including quality-specific risk assessments, job safety environmental analysis, and inspection procedures.
  • Inspection & Test Plans: Help create Inspection & Test Plan Checklists based on project specifications.
  • Document Control and Collaboration: Work with the Technical Lead on the control and distribution of all site-generated documents, checklists, and inspection documents.
  • Field Review: Regularly review field work against drawings, monitor any redline drawings, site instructions, or field directives.
  • Coordination with Stakeholders: Coordinate with clients' representatives, authorities having jurisdiction, third-party inspectors, and the site management team for all inspection requirements.
  • Site Supervision: Assist in overseeing daily site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project schedules.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce site safety protocols and ensure all team members comply with safety regulations.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior superintendents and project managers on project status, potential issues, and resource needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Address on-site issues promptly, finding effective solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and project progress.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to address their concerns and provide updates on project progress.
  • Resource Management: Assist in managing site resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Training and Development: Support the training and development of on-site personnel to improve their skills and efficiency.
  • Site Supervision: Assist in overseeing daily site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
