Position: Senior Construction Contract Manager

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in substation estimating and strong leadership capabilities. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of our bids, as well as mentoring and guiding a team of substation estimators.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Estimating and Bidding: Actively perform estimates on substation projects and create competitive bids.
• Site Visits: Travel to work sites to gain a thorough understanding of each project (boots on the ground).
• Comparative Analysis: Compare initial estimates against actual project costs and outcomes.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of two substation estimators, providing guidance and support to help them grow.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure project alignment and success.

Experience and Skills Required

• Substation Estimating Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in substation estimating.
• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables.

Education

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Contracting Management.

Work Schedule

• Office-Based: This role requires the candidate to be primarily office-based with regular travel to work sites.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with potential for overtime as needed.

Compensation

• Salary: $120,000 annually
