PTS is looking for a Senior Vehicle Controls Engineer with a passion for innovation. In this role you will be a part of a cutting edge group supporting the development of embedded software controls for multiple vehicle platforms.

As a Vehicle Controls Engineer you will be responsible for the development and implementation of vehicle controls algorithms for Electric Vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Design control software utilizing MATLAB/Simulink
• Perform testing and validation of the software developed
• Work collaboratively with cross functional engineers to implement, test, debug and calibrate control algorithms
• Coordinate with other departments to understand needs
• Provide expertise and guidance of software development to other team members
• Provide troubleshooting support for control system related issues
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience building controls software
• Direct experience working with vehicle-level controls design for electric or hybrid vehicles
• Strong knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience developing algorithms and running modeling and simulations
• Proficiency in C/C programming
• Understanding of auto-code generation in MATLAB
• Knowledge of classical control theory, optimal controls, adaptive controls, MPC, ECMS, and state-space modeling
• Understanding of Microcontrollers/Microprocessors architectures
• Familiarity with HV management and/or BMS, or just hybridization of system
• Familiarity with tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape
• Familiarity with SimScape
• Proficiency with CAN, LIN Communication Protocols

Benefits & Compensation:

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000
