Our client is seeking an HR Generalist to support their HR Team.

Job Details:

  • Title: HR Generalist
  • Type: Contract
  • Length: 3-6 months
  • Location: NW Washington DC
  • Rate/Salary: $28-33/hour
  • Background Check: Standard



Candidate profile and qualifications :

  • Experience in 3 years as an HR Generalist
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, ATS
  • Soft Skills : proactive, collaborative, problem-solver, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Education : BA/BS required, years of experience can compensate

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring. Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures. Ensure all practices are in line with current labor laws and best practices.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems. Provide guidance to managers on employee evaluations, performance improvement plans, and career development.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Conduct salary surveys and manage compensation strategies to ensure competitive and fair employee remuneration.
