Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Associate Project Management with excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates should be comfortable working in a general consulting capacity providing daily project oversight, as well as working with a large delivery team that includes product managers, engineers, strategists, and user experience professionals.

The Senior Associate Project Manager is expected to play a variety of project support roles. The work will support the customer experience and software development life cycle (SDLC) in an agile environment. The most typical project roles for this position include managing daily operations and management (O&M) request intake and assigning of work, overseeing O&M tasks and ensuring work is complete and to the client’s satisfaction, report out on weekly and monthly O&M and project status, and managing small to medium projects.

This role involves the support of a broad portfolio of digital and IT projects and initiatives, which includes interacting with clients, helping to develop processes that ensure transparency and accountability, and helping to implement and manage those processes in a scalable way. The position will be client-facing and include daily interactions with a client and broader user and development community, providing program management support for multiple products. Pivotal to this role is excellent relationship building skills, as well as strong communication skills.

  • Manage the intake process of operations and maintenance requests from clients and stakeholders via JIRA tickets. This includes reviewing each request and conduct the following:
    • Determine level of effort and work with team leads for prioritization
    • Assign to appropriate teammate (based on bandwidth and domain/skill set)
    • Determine necessary tagging and additional information needed to complete the request
    • Oversee tickets between teammates and client to ensure ticket is completed to client's expectation
  • Assist with updates to various products via various tools, including video uploads, email newsletter templates, and web page content
  • Manage small tracks/projects and develop and track project plans for individual tracks of work (as part of a larger project plan)
  • Manage and control project scope, change control, and risks
  • Provide day-to-day contact for client on track related communications

Qualifications

Experience Guidelines:

  • 3-5 years project management experience, in a client-service digital and/or technology organization
  • Experience in client-facing situations and dealing with situations that require scope, cost, and schedule management
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Experience in defining scope and schedule requirements with clients and facilitating large diverse groups
  • Experience defining business outcomes and working with the client and project teams to define metrics to assess those outcomes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly and openly communicate with a client on a daily basis as well as the ability to create and deliver clear, powerful and concise presentations/proposals
  • Ability to plan and manage time and resources, establish priorities and meet goals
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
