THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As the Systems Solution Lead you will play a critical key strategic role and take responsibility for ensuring Publicis Groupe media agencies have reliable access to the most effective systems, tools, and data resources in the industry.

You will be the go-to expert for our media agencies and have a varied role answering various questions or giving advice for pitches, you will build relationships with external providers, and help to build a product development roadmap with key PMX product leads, you will work with offshore developers to build bespoke solutions, you will manage key supplier contracts and budgets.

KEY OUTPUTS

1. Systems and tools leadership for the Groupe

  • Oversee the strategic development and execution of systems implementation across the Groupe
  • Develop a long-term vision for Publicis proprietary tools and data that delivers a competitive edge against emerging capabilities
  • Lead and manage delivery of a replacement for a proprietary system to ensure it fulfils the needs of the Australian marketplace in a timely fashion
  • Manage technical requirements for the seamless operation of proprietary and industry systems in conjunction with the relevant IT teams
  • Manage a systems onboarding, education and support program across Publicis Groupe brands
  • Work with finance and procurement to ensure contracts for media tools and data encompass Publicis requirements and terms and conditions are adhered to.
  1. Product improvements for PMX
  • Proactively produce and share best practice guidelines with agency planning and investment teams
  • Proactively create PMX POV on relevant industry and market developments including changes to currency where related to tools specifically, and media planning more broadly
  • Proactively identify opportunities to develop and implement new products or product improvements
  • Lead the evaluation of industry tools and data and proactively recommend the best course of action for the Groupe.
  • Develop constructive relationships with relevant tech and data partners and act as primary point of contact for third party tools and data providers

People management

  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct report to deliver KPIs and develop skills for future career advancement.
  • Direct report in managing technical requirements for the seamless operation of proprietary and industry systems in conjunction with the relevant IT teams
  • Direct report in managing systems onboarding, education and support program across Publicis Groupe brands
  • Direct report in managing the evaluation of industry and proprietary tools and data including product testing
  • Support report to efficiently and effectively address user support queries for proprietary and industry tools

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • Expert understanding of media planning and trading processes and media optimisation and planning tools
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to interpret media audience data and guide testing and development plans and priorities for direct report
  • Advanced knowledge of syndicated media systems including AdQuest, eTAM, eRAM, Schedulizer, Asteroid, TVmap, MOVE and Optim8.
  • In depth knowledge of the Australian media landscape
  • Excellent attention to detail, written & verbal communication skills
  • A practical and proactive nature, couple with a desire to find better ways of doing things
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven track record of administrating complex system development
  • Ideally 8 years with increasing levels of responsibility within an agency or media company
  • People management experience
  • Ability to navigate complex system issues as well as internal agency dynamics
