Title Insurance Underwriter Business Development / Sales Executive (Full-Time) Baton Rouge, Louisiana

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Pulsar Title Insurance Company Inc., a commercial and residential title insurance underwriter based in the Baton Rouge area, is seeking an experienced, energetic, and self-motivated Title Insurance Underwriter Business Development / Sales Executive for the Louisiana market. The ideal candidate will have strong in-person, phone and written customer communication skills.

The candidate will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities, including identifying agent prospects and lead generation in the Louisiana market, and will develop and implement Pulsar’s business and marketing plan to expand the customer base in the Louisiana market. The candidate will work with the company’s support team for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values. The candidate will perform all duties in accordance with Pulsar policies, procedures, and guidelines and within all state and federal regulations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains relationships with existing and new title agents
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments, and travel to and attend when necessary
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new agents
  • Openness and willingness to lead sales efforts on all levels
  • Identifies and converts qualified prospects to new customers to build client base
  • Provides general support to company’s title agents
  • Uses a consultative sales approach, analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of title products to fulfill such requirements
  • Prepares yearly business plans and/or other status reports as required by management
  • Work in alignment with management to contribute new marketing strategies when possible and appropriate
  • Present title and closing production procedures, administrative product information and demonstrations to clients
  • Attends sales meetings and calls as required
  • Maintains high visibility in real estate community by representing the company at social/business functions; including industry meetings or seminars, real estate conventions, and through personal involvement in service groups and business organizations
  • Determine and report competitor activities and market conditions to manager
  • At a minimum, the ability to work from 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Regular consistent attendance is required, that could include attendance at after hour Company events.
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions and communications with agents via Zoho CRM
  • Instructs agency personnel in use of company online tools and assets available to agents
  • Track and manage receipt and submission of regularly scheduled agency reports
  • Monitoring daily reports to identify lost business or client trends
  • Acts as a liaison between company and agents and trade organizations
  • Other duties as assigned by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in title, escrow or related field
  • Ability to write and orally communicate clearly, accurately and succinctly
  • Problem solving and results oriented
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of various CRM systems, such as Salesforce or Zoho CRM
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required
