PumpTech, Inc. is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Associate

WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1986, PumpTech is a leader in the distribution & manufacturing of pumps and pumping systems in the Northwest. We design, manufacture, and sell custom pump systems and complete pump stations for all industries, including sewage lift stations, water booster stations, and chemical metering systems. The company's complete and thorough understanding of system requirements and pumping equipment is unsurpassed in the industry. We service the municipal, industrial and commercial markets for pumps and pumping equipment as well as OEM accounts. PumpTech has four locations in the Pacific Northwest: Bellevue WA, Moses Lake WA, Nampa ID and Canby OR.

We are currently looking for an Application Engineer/Inside Sales Representative to join our Canby team. The qualified person will show a combination of great attention to detail and creativity to find solutions to a myriad of different needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop innovative pump system solutions based on the needs of the customer.
  • Collaborate with engineers to generate specifications for pump systems to meet the application needs of the municipal market.
  • Determine pump size and select all types of pumps for the water, waste water, industrial process, food processing, and petro‐chemical markets to meet customer specifications.
  • Build positive and proactive relationships with our customers over the phone and through correspondence while working through sometimes challenging problems and projects.
  • Work as part of a team of sales personnel, sharing knowledge, supporting each other, and be committed to working together to achieve the common goal of providing premier customer service.
  • Work closely with the Outside Sales team.
  • Provide continuing education of represented pump products.

WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES

  • Engineering/Manufacturing background preferred in pump hydraulics or related systems.
  • 1-3 years technical support or sales experience
  • Strong attention to detail balanced by the ability to prioritize activities.
  • Math skills required, including basic algebra and ability to read graphs.
  • Experience working with customers in defining product needs.
  • Ability to problem-solve to arrive at best solution.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project and time management skills;
  • Ability to multitask between multiple projects, quotes, training and other job duties as assigned
  • Proficient computer skills required.
