Purem by Eberspächer is Hiring a Plant Manager Near St Louis, MO

Objective of the Position: Provide leadership that directs and coordinates all daily operations of EETAM production facility assigned, to produce products of high quality and reliability at optimum cost and in accordance with customer shipping schedules. Operations include Launches, Engineering, Materials, TPEM, Quality and Human Resources. This position is also responsible for Profit and Loss at facility assigned.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
  • Assures housekeeping standards are met.
  • Coordinate activities in support of flawless product launch including the assigning of cross functional resources, along with the Program Manager.
  • Coordinate and support Lean, continuous improvement and TPEM culture thorough establishment, monitoring and review of goals on a regular basis.
  • Coordinates the activities of the various operations with the Managers and Team Leaders to ensure maximum effectiveness is obtained for the production of quality product within budget and planned schedules according to business plan and customer requirements.
  • Develop a robust process for converting waste costs/quality issues into high impact projects.
  • Ensure customer schedule compliance.
  • Ensures training standards are defined and met.
  • Maintains and enforces standardized work instructions for manufacturing processes through the use of lean techniques (Workplace organization, housekeeping (5S), Kan Ban, standardized work, etc.).
  • Prepare and recommend operating budgets to management including capital requirements and cost reductions.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing and resolving problems.
  • Review job orders to determine work priorities.
  • Reviews plans for efficient use of materials, machines and Team Members
  • Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.
  • Support and promote full SAP system utilization.
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Engineering or closely related field.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in operational supervision and/or management in the automotive industry.
  • Minimum 10 years’ of automotive manufacturing experience in operational discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and financial reporting including the ability to read and interpret financial data (P&L statement and drill down).
  • Formal training and experienced practitioner in lean manufacturing or similar operational excellence methodology.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
  • To perform this job successfully, individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office & SAP.
