The Opportunity

Responsibilities of this career opportunity includes performing routine accounting and data entry to accomplish billing duties. Typical duties of the Billing Technician include preparation and review of bills and statements for services provided, entry of payments into electronic health records (EHR) system and generating insurance and patient refund requests. Other duties include monitoring and following up on collection of uncollected balances, communicating with insurance companies and patients regarding billing questions and issues, and assisting patients with eligibility determination for our sliding fee discount program.

This career opportunity requires:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of medical billing experience
• Associates degree or equivalent in medical billing, coding, or related field may be substituted for experience
