Job Summary:
We are seeking one or two talented and enthusiastic Art Associate to join our team. As an Art Associates, you will assist customers in finding and purchasing art pieces, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of our art gallery. Additionally, you will facilitate contact with the artists to get classes and other events scheduled as well as help maintain the gallery's visual standards and help ensure that artworks are display effectively to showcase their beauty and uniqueness.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
• Provide information about artworks, artists, and displays
• Assist customers in selecting artworks that meet their preferences and budget
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gallery space
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of artworks
• Assist in shop events and scheduling
• Share key information with prospective artists about how our shop, events and markets work and support the shop in welcoming new artists
• Contribute ideas for improving the gallery's operations and customer experience

Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is beneficial
- Knowledge or interest in art, including different art styles, artists, and mediums
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a tidy store environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately

-Reliable and Trustworthy to open and close shop

-Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work independently, be trustworthy and reliable

-Ability to lift 20lbs or more

-Able to easily go up and down a 6 foot ladder

-Availability to work a Saturday as needed

-Comfortable with technology and learning new software

-Conscientious in record keeping

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week

Shift:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Covington, KY 41011 (Required)
