NOTE: This position will be on-site in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles. 

Purple, Rock, Scissors has an exciting contract opportunity for an Interaction UX Designer with experience working in the wearable technology industry. This role requires designers who have worked at the operating systems level of lightweight AR wearables. IUX Designers have deep understanding of interaction design, strong visual skills and a thoughtful approach to the user experience in all facets of their work. 

While a passion for all forms of AI, this project is not focused on VR products, rather wearables that compliment and enhance the everyday human experience. 

The current team is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers: who all care deeply about the people who use their products. 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with fellow designers to create new solutions applicable to future, emerging OS within hardware. 
• Communicate the user experience to partners at various stages of the design process by making compelling designs and concepts and expressing them in stories, sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, models, & 2D prototypes.
• Drive design spec development and create production ready assets/designs for XR UI focusted features.
• Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional product development team to present ideas and design solutions, partnering with engineering to implement, writers and editors to author and revise content, and researchers to validate design decisions.
• Clearly rationalize and justify design work, advocate for users’ needs
• Work with the wider XR UX team to craft seamless and consistent experiences across the platform

Qualifications:

Demonstrated and strong experience in product design or UX especially on lightweight wearable technologies.

• Experience working on native OS features
• Demonstrated ability to create high quality designs and prototypes in Figma. 

• Experience contributing to mature design systems including component design, documentation, and education.

•  Ability to express your ideas using both strong design skills and verbal/presentation skills. 

• High level of accountability, responsibility and self motivation.
