Part Time Endoscopy Technician/Medical Assistant for our outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in Gastroenterology

Summary:

Provide care to patients undergoing GI procedures under the supervision of the Endoscopy Nurse Director.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist physician during endoscopy procedures performing biopsies, polypectomies, and various other functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

2. Prepare O.R. with appropriate instruments and equipment necessary for each endoscopic procedure.

3. Collect, document, and label all specimens according to practice policy.

4. Clean and reprocess flexible endoscopes according to clinical practice guidelines.

5. Maintain Quality Assurance logs.

6. Restock supplies as necessary.

7. Clean and turnover stretchers.

8. Assist nursing staff with various other duties as needed.

Required:

Medical Assistant/Technician certification preferred but not necessary, we will train right candidate

High School Diploma or GED required

BLS certification preferred

Proficiency in EMR preferred

Other information:

One location

Part time, 4 days a week.

No weekends or major holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
