Job Title: Guidance Counselor

Position Type: 12-month employee 

Job Description:

The Guidance Counselor serves as a college counselor and registrar for the entire student population and will report directly to the Dean of Academics. They will be the primary support for students with their college search process and designing their class schedule to meet graduation and college entrance requirements. Guidance works with the Athletic Department to ensure students have met NCAA requirements. During the summer hours guidance will work directly with admissions to help approve students for Putnam Science Academy. The Guidance Counselor will work with students outside of the classroom, helping them properly manage stress, social pressures, and/or family life, not only for their overall wellness but also to help them fulfill their academic potential.
