The Phelps Residence Inn is looking for a talented food & Beverage manager who will oversee our Phelps Bar & Kitchen and two tiered rooftop bar.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring smooth and efficient service in The Phelps Bar & Kitchen and the Rooftop Bar.
- Manage and train a team of food and beverage staff, including interviewing, scheduling, and performance evaluations Etc.
- Handle all department issues in a professional manner, coach and counsel associates if applicable
- Attend all meetings such as: BEO meetings, staff and stand up meetings.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service
- Collaborate with the chef, bar manager and AGM to create policies & procedures and ensure timely delivery of food orders, door dash orders and room service.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices

Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality industry in a food service management role
- Ability to effectively manage shifts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing and cash handling
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Experience conducting interviews, training, and managing staff members
- Familiarity with doordash systems is a bonus
