We are currently searching for a Sales Account Manager in the State of Detroit. The right candidate will be highly motivated, with proven sales experience and success in developing a new territory. This role is best suited for an aggressive and strategically minded individual with direct OEM and Tier 1 Account Management experience with access to key decision makers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Empowerment:
• Responsible for major account management within the branch, including new business as required, to assist with account management and growth
• Deliver sales presentations and negotiate service contracts with key customer contacts (i.e.: Plant Managers, QA Managers, QA Engineers)
Ownership:
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline utilizing social media platforms, corporate customers and personally cultivated relationships
• Leverage your expert knowledge to "get in the door" with a strategic selling approach
• Monitor customer service levels and satisfaction
Honesty:
• Foster honest relationships with existing and future customers
• Participate in QBRs with the customer and Sales
Transparency:
• Attend sales meetings where applicable to offers operations perspective
• Seasonal or good will meetings/lunches as required with designated Account Manager
• Providing timely updates to the Sales Manager and Senior Leaders as required
Care:
• Qualify customer opportunities and provide solutions which impact the customer’s decision-making process
• Customer retention and relationship building efforts
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience selling and/or servicing local automotive OEMs and supply chains
• Experience identifying new prospects and opportunities within current accounts
• Experience with networking and building a targeted customer list
• Experience utilizing social media platforms
• Proven experience maintaining relationships at all levels
• Must demonstrate advanced communication skills (verbal and written) to foster positive relationships

• The Regional Account Manager is expected to spend approx. 80% of their time travelling to various sites within their branches, and reliable transportation is required

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
