Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in multiple domains, with a particular emphasis on retail. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and performance across the entire application stack.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design:

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure Java-based applications.
• Develop architectural frameworks and design patterns to ensure consistency and maintainability.
• Create technical architecture documentation, including high-level and detailed design documents.

Domain Expertise:

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of multiple business domains to inform design and development decisions.
• Leverage retail domain experience to tailor solutions to meet industry-specific requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure our solutions remain competitive.

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality products.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure coding standards are met.

Technical Strategy and Innovation:

• Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices to improve development processes and product quality.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap, aligning architectural decisions with business goals.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development with a focus on Java technologies.
• Proven experience in architectural design and implementation of large-scale applications.
• Strong background in both front-end and back-end development.
• Experience in the retail domain is required; additional experience in other domains is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and other related technologies.
• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Git.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead technical discussions.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for technology and innovation.

Certifications:

• Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE (OCPJP)
• TOGAF Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
